We’ve introduced a new API-only feature that lets you require users to fill in a custom field form when uploading files into a specific folder within a project.
When activated, this feature prompts the person uploading the content to complete custom metadata fields (such as title, type, tags, project code, etc.) at the time of upload.
It ensures that important information is collected consistently at the source, helping teams maintain structure, automate workflows, and improve discoverability of uploaded assets.
This functionality is ideal for managing large volumes of content with strict organizational rules, and it’s currently available via API. A UI version will come later.
